Patrick May have been born in Dooish or the nearby Johnston estate, “Woodlands”.
Born in Co. Donegal circa 1810+/- 3 years. Son of Francis “Frank” Carrigan and Rose Lyon (both probably born in the 1780s or 1790s). I have found Lyon and Kerrigan families living in close by each other near Ballybofy in the Finn River valley but nothing specific to those named above. The family were Catholic. Patrick left in the 1830s and surfaced in Vermont, US, by 1836. I’m not sure if he came via Canada or New York City.
