Pádraig Ó Coileáin aka Patt Collins Sr. (c.1780-1835) was a substantial grazier in the parish of Croghan, Co Roscommon, Ireland.

According to the Elphin Census of 1749, there were no Collins residing in Canbo in the mid 18th-century.

Voter's Register 1829In a list of applicants registering their freeholds (in order to exercise their right to vote) Patt Collins of Canbo was listed as having a house and land with a ‘yearly value to be registered’ of £10 there. [Leitrim & Roscommon Gazette 23 May 1829].

We learn from later maps that the Collins holding was at the centre of Canbo. His daughter married Richard Elwood of Canbo
