Patrick Finnegan was born October 25, 1874 in the parish of Templeboy, townland of Ballyeeskeen, county of Sligo. His father was John Finnegan, born about 1800 in the parish of Templeboy, townland of Ballyeeskeen, county of Sligo. His mother was Sarah Finnegan (Farry) born about 1832 in the parish of Templeboy, townland of Ballyeeskeen, county of Sligo. Patrick married Belinda O'Dowd on January 10,1911. They had a son named Michael John Finnegan, born September 15,1912 in the parish of Templeboy, townland of Ballyeeskeen, county of Sligo. They moved to the United States of America in 1924. They left from Liverpool, England on 26 June 1923 and arrived at Ellis Island in New York, USA on 2 July 1923. They lived in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA. Patrick became a United State Citizen on 29 January 1929. He died on 27 July 1962 and was buered at Stant Charles Roman Catholic Cemetery, Farmingdale, Nassau County, New York, USA.
