Patrick Faherty was born in May 1871 in Thounagbeg, Moycullen, County Galway. He was the 6th of 7 children born to Mathias Faherty and Mary Lydon. He first came to the United States in 1900 -- returned to Ireland with his wife Annie Connolly (Kilroe East in Spiddal) and they both came to the United States for the final time in 1906. His brothers were William and James -- his sisters were Sarah (came to United States married Thomas McManus and lived in Marlboro, NY), and Mary (married a Carr and stayed in Ireland). Patrick died in the Brighton section of Boston, Massachusetts in November 1934.
Patrick is my grandfather through whom I was able to procure Irish Citizenship. I never knew Patrick --- he died long before I was born.
