He migrated to USA (not sure if direct or through Canada) was married to Mary Clancey and had 5 children in Waukasha, Wisconsin. One of those was my great-grandmother Katherine ("Katie") E. Kane; other kids included Anna Frances Name MacDonald 1863-1938; Mary Ellen Kane Burke 1866-1954; (who was married to John Burke the Governor of ND, Treasurer of US, and ND Supreme Court Judge; John Kenneth Kane 1871-1934; Joseph C Kane 1873-1920.
