Roderick Kennedy is my ancestor, Patrick Kennedy was his brother.
Patrick was the second son of Margaret Sheedy and John Kennedy (his older brother was called Stephen), was born at Nenagh Co. Tipperary in 1822. He was Christened at Borrisokane.
Roderick was sent to Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania) for burning down the house of Surveyor Thomas Abbott and assaulting him.
Patrick lived a different life. He joined the Army and was a member of the 10th Foot Regiment. He was awarded his Pendion at age 40.
His death date is unknown at this time (2020)
