Pats Leary was the only one of the 7 brothers who stayed home on the farm in Ballynabloun.
He was one of seven sons born to JOHN LEARY and Maire Eamonn Moriarty.
His siblings were Tom,Con,Michael, Edward,Timothy and Jeremiah.All went to
the New London/Bridgeport area of Connecticut.
Pats married Kate Riordan in Feb. 1896 and they had 12 children- 9 boys and 3 girls.
He worked his farm by day and fished the sea by night..The money made from fishing helped to
pay the rent of the farm and to feed a large family.
Pats died at the young age of 62 on April 8th 1925.
He is buried in Keel Cemetery ,The Glen with his wife Catherine
and son Timothy.
