I believe he was from Cork, possibly Skibbereen, but I was also told county Kilkenny, so I'm unsure. Parents were Jeremiah and Mary (Deasy/Dacey). His marriage certificate and death certificate seem not to match up age wise. Death certificate states he was 95 years 1 month and 24 days at death on May 9, 1971. Marriage certificate says he was 26 on November 2, 1905.
