Pádraig Breathnach aka Patrick Walsh of Toorymartin was baptising children in the RC parish of Croghan (Boyle, Co. Roscommon) from 1813- 21. His sister, Catherine was also baptising in Toorymartin with her husband Thomas McGarry from 1815-1825.
In 1819, Pat Walsh godparented for John Conlon & Frances Conry of Toorymartin. in 1824 he witnessed the marriage of John Conlon & Mary Keon.
By 1835 no Walsh nor Maguire were recorded on Tithe records in Toorymartin. However, a Pat Walsh was recorded in the neighboring townland of Ardlavagh that year.
In 1853, Pat Walsh of Ardlavagh sued Lacky Dowd of Crenageary (Kilmacumsy) for unpaid labour. In 1854, he sued his neighbour, Pat Farrell, for crossing his land and breaking down fences. That same year, Patt Neary of Drumlion sued Walsh for unpaid wages.
In 1858, a Patrick Walsh is recorded at farm 8a Ardlavagh in Griffiths Valuation and Encumbered Estate records show this man was still there in 1863 with 15 acres on a 7 year lease (from 1857). Whether it is Pat Walsh Sr. or Jr. is unclear.
