Left Ireland to join the 100th regiment of Foot.
Fought in Canada in the War of 1812 and later settled in Montreal, Quebec where he married twice and had two sons, one of which surivived to become my great great grandfather.
He died at the young age of 33 in the thyphoid epidemic.
