  • This person is s/o William Cullen (farmer) & Honora Gaffney

He married Margaret Curran c1812 Ireland...

Patrick had come to Australia as a convict. Five of his childern (Philip, Ellen, Thomas, Domonic & Bridget) followed as their mother had died prior to their father's sentence, possibly from the Potato famine. These 5 children all settled in NSW, Australia.

As yet I haven't managed to connect directly to this tree.

I'm trying to connect Owen Cullen from my tree who was bc 1833 Co. Sligo

He is the right age for this family, he however settled in Vic, Aus and I haven't managed to find proof of his parents, or when he came to Aus.

  • Hi Susan, I have checked Griffith Valuation & Tithe Applotment do have some names of Cullens in Glenn are where they were living, but it's a lottery as we didn't know for sure their names. On Patrick's death certificate the names of all his children weren't shown. Just how many living & deceased.

  • Thank you for responding...hoping one day I'll be able to find out more...Owen death listing on the register has no parent details, not sure if getting the certificate would give me any more info other than his wife & children which I already have.
