Peter and Marcella arrived on the Henry Clay into NYC in 1849. There are a couple other possible ships/dates but this one is backed up by oral history as Ambrose Boyd who died in 1984, told younger family members that the Henry Clay ship information is correct. On the manifest Peter is traveling with "Ellen" Boyd. We think this may be a nickname for Marcella.
