Peter Usher : Short Biography

Peter Usher (1838-1881) was the maternal great-great-grandfather of Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott. 

He married Eliza Craig (b.1843- ) the couple raised a family in Glasnevin Village at 3 St Margaret's Parade. 

• Peter Usher, was a stonecutter (possibly at Glasnevin Cemetery) and died young ag 43. 
•  Eliza (Craig) Usher appears in the 1901 census of Glasnevin,  and 1911 Census Glasnevin

CHILDREN

Eliza Usher married Thomas Finn and Phil Lynott is their descendant through their daughter Sara Finn who married Frank Lynott.

Thomas Usher (1865-1911+) was also a stonecutter in Glasnevin.

Monica Usher (1866-1948) was a dressmaker. She never married and died at Botanic Avenue, Glasnevin. 

Robert Usher (1880-1903) bachelor, died of TB age 23 at 23 Cuffe St.
