Rebecca was born circa 1850 in Glenlee, Donegal. She was orphaned and along with her 2 older sisters, Elizabeth and Anne, she emigrated to New Zealand and the 3 of them settled in Roxburgh, Central Otago. She married Peter George, a miner originally from Mullion, Cornwall.
Her parents were John Kennedy and Jane Beattie as recorded on her death certificate, although I can't find a single thing about them or their life in Donegal or when and how they died.
