Rebecca married Patrick O’Brien in March 1891 in Enniskerry. Patrick was a blacksmith. They left for New York on the steamship Kansas and arrived at Boston in April, 1891. From Boston, they likely took a Sound boat and found their way to Port Chester where Rebecca’s older brother Joseph had worked as a coachman since his arrival in 1871. Rebecca and Patrick became parents of William O’Brien in May 1893. We found William living with his aunt Catherine Wogan nee McArdle and her husband Patrick in Manhattan. We don’t know what happened to Rebecca after May 1893 or Patrick after their arrival in Boston. They remain an enigma.
