Robert James Boyd (born about 1785) travelled from Donegal to New Brunswick, Canada in 1825.  With him were his wife Flora(Alcorn) and 6 of their 9 children - Catherine, Hugh, Jane, John, Isabella and Thomas.  Ann, James and William were born in New Brunswick.

Thomas Boyd (born about 1795) was a brother of Robert James and he married Marjery Alcorn, thought to be a sister of Flora(wife of Robert James).  Thomas was a teacher in a school in  Carnbuoy, Donegal County prior to his emigration to New Brunswick (about 1836).  His residence was thought to be in Templecrone, Donegal.  Travelling with Thomas and Margery were 9 of their 11 children - Jane, Flora, Hugh, James, William, Richard, Margery, Mary and Catherine.  Thomas and John were born in New Brunswick.
