When ROBERT MCMAHON was born in County Down in May 1814 in Ireland, his father, HUGH, was 35 and his mother, ANNA, was 29. He was about 18 when his family immigrated to the United States in 1832. He married ELIZABETH FARRELL in 1846. They had nine children in 25 years. He died on August 4, 1901, in Dushore, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 87 years, and was buried there.
