Roger McHugh born about 1797 in Co. Sligo, Ireland (believe Tawnagh or Ballysumagan). He was Roman Catholic and I believe he married Feb 1823. His wife’s name was Catherina and she was born about 1804. Roger and Catherina had 6 children that immigrated to the United States of America with them. Embarkation was Liverpool, England and arrival was New Orleans, Louisiana on 4 March 1847. Children: William B. born 15 Aug 1831, Bridget born about 1832, Margaret born Aug 1835, Bernard “Barney” R. born about 1836, Roger, Jr born about 1839 and Catherine born about 1842. All children were born in County Sligo, Ireland.
