Born in Coorheen, Loughrea, Co. Galway to John and Winifred Conway (nee Holland).
Sabina married P.J. Kelly, a local farmer who was involved in the Land League and later became President of the G.A.A. They were married on the 17th of February 1890 and had 9 children; Laurence, Benjamin, Joseph, James, Bina, Patrick, Anthony, Martin, & Mary.
James inherited the family farm at Grange Park, Loughrea where his son and grandson still farm today. Bina became a nun with the Presentation convent in Galway where she was known as Mother Gertrude. Anthony died at the age of 22 of septicaemia, and Benjamin died at 1 year 4 months old of acute bronchitis.
Sabina is buried with her husband and two of her sons in the graveyard of St Dympna’s Church, in Kilnadeema West.
