Samuel Stanley was only 8 years old when he migrated in 1818 with his parents, Thomas Stanley (black and white smith) and Elizabeth Hodgins. His parents settled in the Richmond settlement, near Ottawa. In 1852 he and his family were living in Fitzroy Twp., Ontario, Canada. I'd love to find any marriage or birth certificates in Ireland.
I visited Ireland for a week (not long enough) two years ago. I wanted to visit Cloughjordan and Borrisokane but getting there from Dublin, by public transport seemed difficult. I also had a friend with me so didn't want her to have to snoop around cemeteries.
