Sarah Coyne (Kyne) 1853 : Short Biography

My great grandmother Sarah Coyne was the fourth child born to Patrick Coyne and Kate Geraghty. They lived in RosDubh (Rosduff), Rosmuck, Galway Ireland. Sarah's father Patrick Kyne (Coyne) was born about 1819, in Ireland. He died on 18 August 1899, aged about 80, in Turlough, Lettermore, Galway, Ireland.

Sarah's mother Kate Geraghty was born about 1820, in Cornamona, Galway, Ireland. She was recorded in the census in 1901, aged about 81, in Rosmuc, County Gallway. She died after 1901, when older than 81, in Turlough, Galway. Patrick Kyne aged about 29, married Catherine Geraghty, aged about 28, in 1848 in Galway, Ireland.

Across the road from the Coyne family in RosDubh lived the Patrick Halloran family. Sarah would grow up to marry Patrick's son Michael Halloran. Michael Halloran, aged 28, married Sarah Coyne aged 18, on 4 February 1872 in Lettermore, Oughterard, Galway, Ireland. Sarah and Michael lived in the Halloran home across the road from Sarah's family. A very nice situation.

It is believed Michael's brother Patrick and his wife Norah Joyce also lived on this property. Michael died on 20 March 1904, aged about 60 years, in Galway, Ireland. Sarah Coyne Halloran died 31 July 1936 in Rosmuc. He died in 1934, aged about 74. Michael Conroy, aged about 23, married Bridget Coyne, aged 24, in May 1884 in Turlough, County Gallway, Ireland. Martin Nee, aged 25, married Mary Coyne, aged 24, on 14 July 1889 in Rosmuck, Turlough, Galway, Ireland.
