Shepherd McCormick born New Ross 1791. Resident of Airmount House, College Road, New Ross. Apointed Commander RN 1841. Died Dublin 1852, buried at the Abbey, St. Mary's, New Ross. Served as Lieutenant on board the Repulse 94 and the Volcano bomb. Son of well-known identity of New Ross - Michael McCormick and brother of Andrew McCormick, both business proprietors of properties adjacent to the river Barrow on land at the bottom of College Road.
