Migrated to/Born in Australia
My great grandfather Simon Alphonsus O’Rourke emigrated to Townsville from Boyle in Roscommon in 1884. He initially took up a teaching position in Townsville. Does anyone have any information about his family, parents Simon and Maria. His siblings were John, Michael and Maria. After some years in Australia, Simon joined his brother John, in New York and Simon died there in 1923.
