Thomas Bowler Cullinane of Ballymacoda

Died 18th March 1928 aged 84 years

Thomas took  part in the a raid on the Coastguard Station at Knockadoon on 5th March 1867 as part of the Fenian Rising in 1867 in Ballymacoda  -  and sentenced to death initially, later commited to Penal Service. Thomas Bowler was one of 62 local Fenian prisoners, transported on the convict ship “The Hougoumont” on 10th October 1867 to Freemantle Jail Western Australia
