:A William Gilbert died in Dublin at 5 Wharton Terrace, Harold's Cross, South Dublin on 18 Oct 1864 aged 64 and was reported to be the youngest son of the late Christopher Gilbert of Barberstown county Dublin and a brother of Mrs F Reynolds of the parade Kilkenny.

I believe this Thomas had a brother named William who moved to New York. I have a letter written from William to Tom and William mentions his son Charlie.
