Married Anne Paine 9 Dec 1830 From Church of Ireland registers Thomas Cardwell of Egerlocher and Anne Paine of Causanagh were married by licence in the Parish Church of Loughgall, both signed their names, witnesses were Alexander Paine and Robert Cardwell

  • After Thomas's mother(Anne Webb) and wife (Anne Paine) died, Thomas and 4 of his 5 children emigrated to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1855 aboard the Rienzi. The eldest son, William went to Hartford, Conneticut USA. He married Mary Cardwell, daughter of Henry (Moy, Tyrone) in 1860. Their son Thomas was born 27 June 1861. In October 1861 the family emigrated to Australia to meet up with the family.
