Thomas Ryan married to Anne Dunne in 1876 parents of my Grandfather Jeremiah ryan who married Teresa Roe who had my Mother Anna Mary Ryan.

I am stuck on Thomas all I know is his Father was James Ryan do not have his Mothers name or the names of any sibilings he had. I have found marriage records for several James Ryans that would fit the time period but not sure which is correct.

Both Thomas and Jeremiah worked at Gloster House as well as Jermiah's brothers and some of his children.

Thomas has records saying birth 1836 and 1846. all I know is his Father was James. Thomas first son was James second son William afer Anne dunne of Clogher's Father then the first daughter Johanna so I would assume Thomas Mother was Johanna, I have found many Johannas but the childrens names do not resemble thomas Family nor his son Jeremiah who was my Grandfather marred to Teresa roe of Mountmellick.

Just wish I could find James wife Johanna. either prior to 1836 or 1846. thomas lived his whole life i Shinrone Offalybut I looked all over for James.

I have some additional info on Thomas Ryan from another Cousin. We still can not find Thomas actual birth but seems 1846 is the right yr. I have births for his brothers and sisters. I asked about his parents on here before someone suggested several records and one showed Johanna Murphy as wife of James Ryan , Thomas Father. I looked iit over and saw the name John as a son and thought no, we have no John's in the Ryans. Now this cousin has that same record as thomas' parents. Thomas had 3 sons James after his Father , Wm. after Anne's Father and Jeremiahmy Grandfather. I assumed Jeremiah would be a brother or o Grandfather of Thomas. This other famiy has John as a son , and John as the Father of James. All the other names match the famiy line.

Now I believe in research don't cross off the name of a sibling if in your family that you know did not carry that name. However the Great Grandfather John of Thomas the names of the children work but not in this John's brother's and sisters names. So not quite sure of this John being the right one. John was married to a Bridget O'Mear oe Meara they have , we all know about the spelling of names.
