Denis Kelleher from Carhue? Coachford married Eliza Mahoney

Their son, Timothy Kelleher married Margaret O' Sullivan (1870-1962) from Shanakiel, Kilcorney. Margaret's parents were Cornelius Sullivan and Margaret Coakley (1836-1894).

Timothy played in the Aghabullogue team that won All Ireland. Timothy died in 1944 in Kilcorney, Co. Cork. He had a brother a teacher, Head Teacher with his wife National Schools—head teachers Ballyvongane—John D Kelleher Mrs Kate M Kelleher (nee Nagle) and a priest Patrick J.(St Patrick church St Mary & Elizabeth 1989, St Vincents - Apr 1903). These were all known within the family (other siblings I cannot confirm) and these appears not to be born all in the same location (maybe a small tenant farmer?!)

Family folklore is that both Margarets were knitting jerseys for the Aghabulogue team!?!

Would love to know if there are any connections still to this family in Aghabullogue.

Kind Regards,

Liz Kelleher
