According to my Great Grandfathers death certificate he drowned. He was pronounced dead but I was told they never found his body. He went down in the Bogs as it was told to me by my mother and her father before that. He was a schoolmaster, 46 years old. His death was registered in 1888. My grandfather was born there in 1887 and immigrated to the USA in 1898. Not sure who he lived with as Mary Bowler (William's wife) came to the USA in 1889..
