He was chief editor at Belfast Telegraph for over 70 years his twin sons William and Fred worked there with him until his death in 1952 his wife Caroline Cassidy nee Gilliland died in 1940 she went around doing dog shows throughout Belfast and Dublin I can't find any photos of her
