My GGGF John Hegarty/Hagerty/Haggerty (DOB c.1815) married Winifred Flynn & lived, at least in the 1840s, in Crossmolina, Co Mayo. In addition to a son named William, John & Winifred were the parents of Anthony, James, John, Julia, Esther, Bridget, & Mary. Some of the children were born in Ireland. Some were born after the family emigrated to the US in 1850.. They settled in the Kingston, NY area, were John worked on the canal..
