The O'Rahilly Residence at 40 Herbert Park, Ballsbridge was the former home of The O’Rahilly - the only leader to have been killed fighting during the 1916 Rising (and the man behind the Asgard).
Mícheál Ua Rathghaile aka Michael O'Reilly aka O'Rahilly and his wife Nancy Browne settled here in 1910 when they repatriated after a decade in America. The O'Rahilly (as he was known) was born and raised in Ballylongford Co. Kerry and a keen family historian of the name.

In September 2020 this historic house was demolished (without permission) to make way for an apartment and hotel development.
