The Ballymacashel Thatched House is located in the civil parish of Mungret in Co. Limerick. 

It was built around the year 1800. 

There is an outbuilding on the site which has a corrugated iron roof. 

The house is notable for the unusual arrangement of the windows. 

The thatched roof at Ballymacashel is maintained to a good standard.
