Cashelmore House, South of Bandon, seat of John Beamish 1814

Beamish family lived in this house through the 1800s.  There is a newer lodge on site, called Cashelmore Lodge.  Does anyone know the person who lives there?  Was looking to see if they know anything more of the history of that house, or possibly have any pictures of the inside.  This is off of N71, between Carhue and Pedlar's Cross (according to Google Maps).  there is some history about it on the NUI Galway Landed Estates database website - http://landedestates.nuigalway.ie/LandedEstates/jsp/property-show.jsp?id=3556

Thank you,

  • Much obliged; I think I've already researched the bandon family tree Cashelmore Lodge. I've visited this ie site before, but I'll check it out again. I will also inspect the property and buildings for any suspicious activity. I'm not sure if I've checked the ie website. The gratitude is mutual.
