Moone (Kildare) County Kildare
My G Grandfather, Denis DOWLING lived in Timolin, Kildare (1901 census) and was a blacksmith in Moone, Kildare. My Grandfather, Richard Michael DOWLING worked with his dad in the blacksmith shop until his emigration in 1911 to NY, USA. There is currently a pub located in (I think Moone, but may be Timolin) which looks very much like the above photo with the DOWLING name. Supposedly, the above photo is of a bldg owned by Joseph DOWLING who ran a store there until his death in 1902 and then a son ran it until about 1912 when the picture was taken. I know that Richard had a brother names James Joseph and wonder if the Joseph DOWLING who owned the bldg might be a brother to Denis.d- moone bldg c1900.jpg
