Matthew Magrath's farm - 1855 (in red)

My great great grandfather, Peter, left his father Matthew's farm in Tankardstowne and settled in Manchester, NH in the USA in 1869.

Matthew Magrath and Mary Magrane had 8 children in this farmhouse., and were located here in 1855 for the valuation.

I've no idea whether Matthew's father John was here or elsewhere, but he and Matthew were both in Tankardstown in 1835.

At present, the Children of Mat Magrath and Mary Magrane's offspring have a Facebook Group here . 7 of the 8 children emigrated to the USA in the mid 1800's. His son, John stayed and worked the farm, passing it to his daughter, Jane McGrath (later McNally) who passed it to *her* daughter Jane (who married a Ross). It is now owne by the Ross family descendents.

The farm in green was run by Patrick McGrath during the 1800's, who I was told by my great grandmother was no relation (and was similarly passed down through daughters to their McGinness descendents).

Looking for any information on this line, and any ties between the two McGrath families if they exist.
