The Galley Head Lighthouse is one of the many properties of the Irish Landmark Trust. Both Lighthouse Keeper's buildings are available for short stays and can be rented out. The Lighthouse first began operation in 1878 and at one point, its light was known to be one of the most powerful of Lighthouse lights available.
