House 6 & 7 for the 1901 and 1911 Census sits off of R230 in Braade Upper, Glencolmcille. Both house 6 & 7 were located within the same cottage. House 6 is where my grandfather Hugh Curran was born in 1898.
In 1901 house 6 contained James Curran and his wife Bridget Carr along with 6 children. Mary, Anne, Ellen, James, John, and Hugh. in 1911 house 6 contained James Curran and his wife Bridget Carr along with 6 children. Mary, Annie, Ellen, John, Hugh and Bridget.
In 1901 house 7 contained Ellen Curran listed as head of house, visitor Dan Curran, daughter Rose Curran, and visitor Anne Curran. In 1911 house 7 contained Ellen Curran listed as head of house, daughter Rose Curran, and cousin Anne Curran.
Likely both families are related but no objective evidence yet to prove it. I believe Ellen Curran of house 7 could have been the aunt of James Curran in house 6. Visitors of house 7 Dan Curran and Anne Curran are likely husband and wife.
