The Mary Elmes bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Cork city.
It was named in honour of Mary Elisabeth Elmes who saved over 400 Jewish children from the camps during the Holocaust.
The name was chosen by popular vote.
Two of the children whom Mary helped to escape attended the opening in September 2019.
