The church was built in 1871, though it was not completed until 1875, and not opened until 1879.
It is affiliated with the Roman Catholic faith.
Extensive renovations took place in both the 1960's and the 1980's.
In spite of these changes, the church has managed to retain many of its original features.
St Anne's Church has been maintained to an excellent standard and is still in regular use for religious worship today.
