MY great aunt Bridget McAndrew was born somewhere in Ireland about 1830 and her brother Owen McAndrew was born about 1832 in Ireland. Their parents were O. (assumed to be Owen) McAndrew and Mary Dunnigan according to my great grandfather's Owen McAndrew's Death Certificate when he died in Duryea, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania on 27 October 1906. My great aunt Bridget (nee McAndrew) Coleman was listed as a surviving relative of Owen along with his wife Bridget Flanagan Walsh in his newspaper obituary.
Bridget McAndrew married Patrick Coleman somewhere in County Mayo about 1850 and they had four children Ann, Mary, James, and Bridget Coleman all born in County Mayo Ireland between 1853 and 1863. They all immigrated to Luzerne County, PA and married their spouses in that area. It is believed that Patrick Coleman died prior to 1903 in Pennsylvania and his wife Bridget Coleman died on 13 August 1910 and is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Avoca, Luzerne County, PA for an unknown reason there was no Death Certificate issued for her in Pennsylvania.
