Widow Ellen McAuliffe rented a house & garden just south of Ballyfauskeen crossroads, 2 of her sons Henry & Thomas commited the crime of Attempting to Compel to Quit 4 July 1839. They where sentenced at Clonmel Tipperary 20 July 1840 for 7 years and transported to Tasmania Australia from Dublin 19 August 1840.

Ballylanders RCC records start 1849, after searching all parish records for the surrounding areas, I have found the following.

14 January 1829 Mary McAuliffe married at Anglesborough Church with James McAuliffe as witness

6 September 1829 James McAuliffe was witness at a wedding in Anglesborough Church

March 1845 Bridget McAuliffe was witness at a wedding in Anglesborough Church

23 April 1835 Patrick McAuliffe as father to mary in Gallbally Church

these names correspond to the names of Henry & Thomas' children, we have little oral or historical fact of Henry & Thomas brothers or sisters & where they went.

Oral history said Terence McAuliffe was her husband
