I believe that my grandfather Richard Max would have been one of the founder members. My mother said he was a founder member of the GAA and very keen on Gaelic sports. He came from Ballinure but worked for a (supposed) relative by marriage, the Langleys at Archerstown House. As an illiterate labourer he would not have been involved with the national GAA founded in Thurles but Littleton was local to him.
Hi Richard,
Have you added Richard Max to the Ancestor Chronicles? That's probably the best way to get some more information as our members who are connected with Ballinure will be notified of the additions. Here is a link to a video where I explain the process. It's really simple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG2FDXyo4EQ&t=650s
Best of luck with your research!
