I’m looking for the family of a Martin Burke Peterswell who left Peterswell around 1887 and lived in Louisville Kentucky. He married my great grand aunt Margaret Daly Burke whose family originally came from Derrybrien. I’m wondering if the Burke’s in this picture above would be his siblings or first cousins? I found Martin Burke’s family last year in Alabama and have become great friends since. He’d be overwhelmed to know if there are any surviving Burke’s and I plan to take him to Peterswell in September when he makes his first trip to meet us! My family are the Quinn’s from Roo Gort. Thank you, Sinéad

In actual fact I think Patrick Burke (born 1874-?) in the photo above top right back row may very well be his brother and he may also have had sister called Catherine Burke. Their parents may have been Margaret Cronnolly Burke and Patrick Burke. According to census they were from Ballylee Kiltartan. I may be wrong as there are many Burkes around the Peterwell / Kiltartan / Gort areas.
