Thanks to this community, I've been able to trace the Irish branch of my family back 5 generations!
However, I'm having trouble cracking the 1700's. Possibly because the records are difficult to read, but also my searches aren't acheiving much results for family names.
I've mainly been using irishgenealogy.ie and it's been great so far. I just keep snagging around 1820.
Any tips for looking back further?

Hi Robin, I am looking at unanswered quereis and there is not a lot of records by church into the 1700s unless the Church of Ireland has records, 40% plus lost. For Irish records for RC this site is where you can look by parish to see surviving records but there are some that are not listed and there is a chance some were missed when the recors was taken but the Penal Laws existed in the 1700s and a lot of priests did not keep records or indeed have an actual church. https://registers.nli.ie/
I have heard of very few lucky strikes but there are private Facebook groups doing genealogy by county so you could see the Kerry ones and hope. Also some local history groups have transcribed old gravestones.
