Annie Smith of County Meath

I have done a number of searches on the subscription site Roots Ireland and was not able to locate a possible baptismal/birth record for Anne. I searched from 1860-1870 using Patrick and Rose as the parents names but no record came up. I then searched for Smith children with those first names and found the two records below. There was also a brother Hugh 1868 and sister Elizabeth 1870 and another sister Catherine 1859. I'm wondering if Ann was Rose Anne or Elizabeth Anne at baptism but reverted to Anne as she grew older.

Thoughts?

This seems like a good thread to follow! Thank you so much for finding this! I'll follow up and see if I can make sense of it.  You guys are so great. 

Oh, one question. If they had an Elizabeth in 1865 and then another in 1870, does that indicate that the firstborn Elizabeth died? Or is it that they had different names used by the family and they had another reason to use the same first name? Thanks!

Good catch! Yes, likely the 1865 Elizabeth died young.
