Hi,

 

I am trying find out more information on my Gt Grandfather and Gt Grandmother. Anthony Neary was born in 1859 from Corclough, Belmullet and my Gt Grandmother was Ellen Ginnelly born 1870 from Rinnashinnagh (Foxpoint today), Barnatra. They were married in Belmullet 28/11/1895.

    Hi Greg,

    Civil records in Ireland are from January 1st 1864. What was the name of Anthony's mother? There is a record of the baptism of an Anthony in 1858 - parish of Aughoose/Bangor, but his father is recorded as "Anthony".

    Children of Anthony and Ellen Ginnelly are Michael - Baptised October 2nd 1896 in Belmullet. Sponsors: Pat Neary and Anne Neary.

    Bridget "Narey" Derreenmeel - birth June 21st 1898. Birth reported by Julia Ginnelly.
