**update. I found their marriage record and three children in Kilcullen parish. I paid the parish to look up birth records and found none. Did people often change religions or is it more likely they moved?

I also found two letters that Bernard wrote when he was the clerk of petty sessions in kildare in 1830.

looking for a way to find the birth records of my 3rd great grandfather, Bernard Divine from Kilcullen. I've found baptismal records for some of his children in the Church of Ireland and a marriage certificate for him but no info on who he was or his parents.

Does anyone have a contact there? I also found a tithe appoltment for a Bernard and a thomas Divine in 1827 but the city is far away. Did families often live with others and not have an address of their own? He was married in 1829 to Mary ann Agar.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Roots Ireland has the records for Kilcullen C of I parish back to 1778 and I checked and there is no baptismal record for Bernard anywhere in Co. Kildare including Kilcullen. My guess is he was baptized in a different C of I church which either does not have records back to the early 1800s or they are held in Dublin at the Representative Church Library.

Regarding the Tithes, Bernard would have likely been in his 20s and may have been living on his father's holding and therefore his name would not show up on the Tithes.
