Greetings,
My great grandfather's name was Harry Bowler born in either 1879 or 1880. All of his records indicate that he was born in Ireland. Though I do not know which county.
His father is listed as Thomas Bowler, born in Ireland, on his Ontario, Canada marriage certificate.
His mother is listed as Mary (last name unknown) on his marriage certificate.
There is very little know about Harry. He had a brother James and a sister named Sarah. He emigrated to Canada sometime before 1911.
In the 1911 Canadian Census he lists his religion as Presbyterian and in the 1921 Canadian Census, he lists his religion as Methodist.
I know there isn't a lot to go on. He has been my brick wall for almost twenty years. Thank you for any help.
Regards, Vanessa

Vanessa:
The surname Bowler is mainly a Co. Kerry surname with a good number in Co. Cork also. I did a number of searches for a birth record for Harry (Henry), James and Sarah but could not come up with good leads. He must have left before 1901 because he is not in the 1901 census under Henry or Harry. Since he was non-Roman Catholic finding a baptismal record is more difficult.
I also looked at the surname Bowles but again no good leads.
Have you considered a DNA test?
