Hello. The Boyd family lived in and adjacent to Ballymagerny (circa 1863). Daughters of my great-grandfather married and stayed in the area. Some of the sons moved first to Portadown (circa 1870) working at Portadown station. Eventually the bright lights of Barrow-In-Furness across the water attracted them, some eventually workinh for the Furness Railway, and others at Vickers in shipbuilding.
I am looking for connections to Boyd-White family (martied 1863), and Boyd-McCann (married circa 1865), the former in Loughgall, the latter (perhaps) in Seagoe.

Miriam:
Thank you for your promot reply. These are indeed my great- grandparents.
Despite searches in assorted records and on the ground in Portadown, Seagoe, and, Lurgan (and Dublin) I cannot find further references to Neilson White nor Andrew Boyd (G-G Grandfather or his family. Nor have I been able to connect back to any Boyd.

Miriam:
Thank you.
I will follow-up with your suggestions.
As you said, Nelson is an unusual name. The marriage date of Nelson White and the fact that at marriage in 1863 Sarah Ann is listed as "of full age", make this worth looking at.
And as to the distance from Armagh to the site if Nelson's wedding - dare I say it? - it IS a long way to Tipperary.
Again, thank you.
